The Department of Environment and Natural Resources 9 on Saturday conducted an operation in the municipality of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur in response to a report that there is cutting of Dipterocarp trees in the area. “There are still 1,600 board feet in the area waiting to be hauled,” she said.
Based on an inventory made by the team, a total of 30 tree stumps were discovered in the area.
