CENRO Liloy Apprehends Abandoned Lumber

Upper Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte… Personnel from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Liloy Monitoring and Enforcement Section in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) of Gutalac Municipal Police Station apprehends 97 pieces of abandoned Guijo lumber at Upper Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte in the evening of March 4, 2021.

 

The forest product has an equivalent volume of 586 board feet and an estimated value of 35,160.00 php. The apprehension came after CENRO Liloy received a tip from an anonymous informant which led the CENRO Liloy and PNP Gutalac team in conducting a night surveillance in the area.

 

The apprehended items are now deposited at DENR-IX, A3, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte compound for safekeeping and for further investigation. Photo courtesy of CENRO Liloy.
