Under the Adopt-A-Neighbor/Family Project of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) region 9, the regional staff and personnel distributes 160 food packs today April 21 to the poorest of the poor families residing within the community where its regional office is located in Pagadian City and to its security guards, utility workers, some contractuals/job orders and stranded personnel.

Each food pack consist of 3 kilos rice, 2 pcs safeguard bath soap, 2 packs 25 grams coffee, 1/2 kilo sugar, 1 bar (4pvs),detergent soap, 6 cans beef loaf, 3 pcs instant noodles,
3 pcs pancit canton noodles and 1 whole dressed chicken.

A total of Php 87,350.00 were raised thru the voluntary donation from the regional office staff and personnel to buy the said relief goods.

The relief packages were repacked by the regional personnel and were subsequently distributed with the assistance of the officials from Barangay Balintawak headed by its Barangay Chairman Antonio Rendon.

This project was initiated to extend assistance to those who are in need and ease a bit their burden during this time when the whole world is affected by the pandemic COVID 19 virus.
