The Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) of Siocon through its CEPA team served as Resource Speakers during the Julian Soriano Memorial Comprehensive High School (JSMCHS) YES-0 Environmental Camping held at Seed Production Area (SPA), Upper Milidan, Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte.

During the event, various topics were covered to help students understand environmental challenges better. Topics included handling solid waste with ENMO Marion Key Tolentino, learning about the effects of climate change with EA Amanodin Panandigan, the importance of wildlife conservation and the provision of Republic Act 9147 by EMS-I/Information Officer Nadzwa N. Sabtal , while SI/Chief, MES Vanessa Mae T. Patacsil shared Forest Protection and other environmental laws. The JSMCHS YES-O also got a chance to identify different tree species during a nature hike at the Seed Production Area.

By participating in initiatives like the JSMCHS YES-O Environmental Camping, CENRO Siocon hopes to cultivate a sense of responsibility for the environment among the younger generation.
